Competition and Exhibitions 2027- Information

A record 75 schools registered for our 2026 Competition and Exhibition.

Details of the 2027 Competition and Exhibition has been emailed to schools during October 2026.

The information sheets that was sent to schools for 2027 can be viewed and copied by clicking on the images at the bottom of this page.

Update to Exhibiition - We are happy to announce that in addition to our main display of student paintings there will again be In cooperation with, and encouragement from the organisers of the World Snooker Championship a display of portraits of Snooker players produced by Sheffield students

HEADS OF ART and ART COORDINATORS 

Invitations to submit Paintings for our main 2027 competition and exhibitions for ages 4 to 18 will be sent out to Sheffield Area schools. Entries are via schools only. To register please send an email to: sheffieldyoungartists2027@gmail.com

We are not able to accept entries direct from pupils. Enquires as to whether a school has registered to partipate in the competition and exhibition should be made to the Schools Head of Art or Art Coordinator. 

The paintings are not required until March 2027. After that date we will start collecting paintings from Schools and colleges, therefore will school Art Coordinators and Heads of Art confirm when paintings are ready for collection by replying to the email they received from us containing painting preparation and collection details.

Upon receipt of confirmation of participation further details are sent out to you.

Paintings will be collected from the schools by a SYA representative NOT the Sheffield Council postal service. Please advise SYA when the paintings are available for collection from the schools reception.
